Hi Everyone, I have been considering a closer location for my horse, and I am tossing up between Parklea Horse Centre and Centennial Park. Does anyone use either one of these places, as I would like to see what people think of either place. Centennial Park is apparently quite expensive... hehe, Thanks!!!

It depends what you want. I know both well - You cant beat the facilities at CP but the horse will be stabled 24hours a day so you have to be able to get there to walk it at least once a day plus riding. There are plenty of people that you can pay to do this for you. There is also the park its self which is being upgraded at the moment, which should be excellent when finished.
The only real advantage to Parklea is the x/c course and the fact that they are in a paddock. The x/c course is excellent to train but the arena surface is very hard - Personally i would be wary riding everyday on it.
I have had a variety of horses in CP and although they sometimes take a while to get used to being stabled and the overall atmosphere once they do they seem to love it (mine tend to sleep ALL day) Its also great in winter with the double sized indoor arena.

Parklea is located 3.8 km's from Menangle train station along Morton Park rd. Yards are rock hard with wire fencing, x\country great but arena hard and uneven.
