Some years ago (I'm guessing about 5) the rules changed to remove minimum height requirements - I think it was something like at least 14.2 hh to do intro and bigger for higher classes. Now little ponies can do any height (provided of course they can do it).
My question is, did SJ rules also remove height requirements at the same time? I have looked in the rules and can find no mention of minimum heights, but perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place. I was told today that I wouldn't be able to get a jumping card for my daughter's pony (who is sailing around 1.05m tracks with ease).

Linda, I don't know...I struggle to remember all the Eventing rules! Go to the FEI website, what ever is their rule will be the Equestrian Australia rule. www.fei.org/Pages/Default.aspx

Pretty sure the minimum height requirements have been removed from showjumping too. :-) Not as many ponies doing EFA SJ since official stuff generally starts around 1.05-1.10.
The only sport still segregating horses/ponies here is dressage. In every other country, ponies can compete to advanced against horses. There are some pony specific/young rider specific comps, but generally ponies can mix it with the big guys.
