I know that it is a bit of a stretch to ask, but does anyone have any idea from their own photos, who was the photographer at Hawkesbury Horse Trials in 1996? I've previously contacted Sarah Moss to purchase negatives from other events from this year, so am hoping there is still a slight possibility that the negs are still available to purchase from this photographer. Unfortunately I only have a tiny copy with a number written across the top and no name. Any ideas on who this photographer was, and maybe how to contact them would be great. Thanks!

Pulled my photo from Hawkesbury Horse Trials out of the frame, and yes, it was Sara Moss.
Her contact details on the back were: SDM Photography Hollydene via DENMAN 2328 pH: 02 6547 2715

thanks for checking for me. I did ask her when i was ordering the negatives and she said this particular one isn't hers. I know she was also there at the event taking photos as i have purchased one from her. All of hers has her name stamped on the back, but this one was smaller print and only had numbers on it.

Pretty sure it was a lovely old fellow called Tom Hay. The last contact I have is Box 1342 Ballarat Mail Center 3354 Ph 03 53394256 or ... get this ... car phone : 015 348120 (doubt this still exists!!!)
He produced the tiny photos with the numbers in the corner ... they were attached to yellow bits of paper with the order details ... and I kept mine attached! (Peter and Judy ... hasn't life improved? He printed hundreds of proofs, wrote the numbers in the corner, matched them to the rider details, stuck them to bits of paper and posted them to us after the event!!! UGGGH !)
However, I can't help feeling that he retired or maybe even died? (Sorry, Tom, if I have pointed the bone at you!)
Hopefully Biggirl may remember ... her remembering is MUCH better than mine .... I struggle with yesterday!
Although I remember Hawkesbury 1996 ... I broke my arm very very badly the week after Lochinvar 3DE .... I was only just able to ride by Hawkesbury ... so I have a very daggy photo of my beautiful Advanced horse jumping Pre Novice (Restricted Novice) with him going "WTF???" and me hanging on for dear life!!!

Thats was why I asked. There may be an opportunity in the future and I was keen to find out some info on the club and if was still in existence.

Hawkesbury racetrack was expanded and this took away half the course.
Although we lost both St Gregs and Hawkesbury, they were replaced by Camden and SIEC so we haven't done too badly!!
Hawkesbury always struggled to find people to run it ... surprising since I would have thought it is in the heart of eventing land! I can remember helping out once by scoring dressage - with no calculator!! Needless to say, results did not get out until well after dark!!
We had some great times there but doing dressage inside the racetrack was always tough on the ex-racehorses!! They did move the dressage over to Hawkesbury Showground, which was better but did involve a bit of extra hassle course walking etc.
