EXCITING NEWS regarding TAMWORTH INTERNATIONAL EVENTING
Entries for the Tamworth International Event at AELEC (4th and 5th August) are now open on Nominate! Please come along and support this wonderful event at the fabulous AELEC facility. As many of you know, the TIE team has now run 3 events at Quirindi to raise funds for the AELEC course, and the course is now under construction due to support from Eventing NSW, Tamworth Regional Council and a range of fantastic sponsors. Tich Massey (course designer from New Zealand) and Daryl Burgess are working hard to ensure that this event will be a cracker! 3 star riders will even be jumping an iconic Golden Guitar - yee hah!
For those that haven't yet visited AELEC, check out the Gallery on their website to see some of the amazing facilities: www.aelec.com.au/Gallery/AELEC-Facilities/AELEC-Facilities and an interactive map: www.aelec.com.au/Contact-Us/Map/Map (the cross country course starts near the campdraft arena) . It is a truly world class venue, you have to see it to believe it!!! Keep checking www.tie.equestrian.org.au/ as we will endeavour to upload photos of the course as it continues to take shape.
We have done our best to keep the entries as reasonable as possible, and at only $44 for the weekend your horse will enjoy sleeping in a luxury AELEC stable. Camping facilities are excellent and there are also loads of cheap motels in close proximity. You can walk from AELEC to restaurants such as Cascada (one of our wonderful sponsors), pubs, etc.
AELEC is conveniently located on the New England Highway, and for those that are familiar with the drive to Quirindi, it is only an additional 45 minutes of easy highway driving.
Please come along and support our August event - funds raised will be invested into the development of a 1* and 2* track for 2013, plus further improvements to the Intro, Prelim, Pre-Novice and 3* courses.
