I know we are starting to move more and more into the Warmblood breeding for eventing but I hope we don't forget the wonderful thoroughbred. For people like me (have to prioritise between electricity bill and food....) I have only ever been able to afford rejects off the track but given the chance (or lotto win) I still think I would keen going back. There is something about the thoroughbred that is addictive!

I think we need to promote our sport as an opportunity for racehorse owners to stay on board with their horse for the length of their career even after they more on from racing. There are people out there that love the thrill of racing and just have realised that our sport can be just as exciting! Get more owners on board that leads to more spectators, which leads to more sponsors and eventually more money in our sport!!! The aim to to show the public that you don't have to be horse crazy to enjoy this sport.... I have never thrown a football in my life but like to watch the sport...
Events such as Camden Equestriad are on the right path getting more spectators in and promoting the sport. There is not reason we can't get our sport to a level that rivals Europe and America! If we can get more money in our sport then we might stop losing our riders to overseas. I know this may all seem like common sense and you're all probably saying you've thought that a thousand times.
Anyway the whole point of this rant is to pass on an awesome website and to maybe reduce the wastage of one more thoroughbred.
*End rant, step off soapbox*
