Wanted to FREE LEASE - Eventing Schoolmaster - All Rounder. From 15.2hh to 16.3hh.
I am looking to lease the above. Would need to be very quiet and not require too much work eg - I could really only ride 3 times a week.
An aging horse is not a problem - eg 16, 17, 18, 19 as long as it is quiet and doesn't have pre existing veterinary problems. I am happy to give Pentosan and joint food if required to keep the horse well.
Whilst the horse would have a knowledgeable home and the best of care I am a slightly nervous rider so need something that isn't phased by too much. My husband is a retired World Cup Grand Prix Showjumper so I have plenty of assistance at hand.
I would like to do the occasional newcomer eventing comp, probably more dressage and some show hunter classes. This would be as time permits with a busy life.
We live in Glenorie NSW and could provide numerous references from people (including professional riders and coaches) who could assure the very best of care to the horse. I understand and have heard of leasing not turning out well. I have both leased horses to people and had a horse on lease just prior to my pregnancy and fortunately for me I have had wonderful experiences and chose very wisely the people I leased my beautiful boy to.
I am a fuss pot and love my horses to look beautiful and probably spend more time grooming and concentrating on researching which feed and supplements will make my horses look good rather than I do riding.
We currently have 4 horses including a stallion so we are certainly a knowledge home. We have bred the horses we have however they are mostly young and they are not suitable to me.
Unfortunately a fine thoroughbred is not an option as my dressage saddle is a medium wide and would not suit a fine thoroughbred. (non changeable gullet)
Could you please email me if you have something that you think might be suitable or if you know someone who might. fionatiley@hotmail.com or 0404 440 009
