Just checking before I open my big mouth to a student....
A rider does not need to be an EA member to ride at Newcomers or Introductory? Or does this rider need to be a member of EA but an Associate Membership will suffice?
I probably should just tell her to become a full member.... she doesnt know it yet, but she's not gonna be Newcomers or Intro for too long! :-)

Hi Marcia, To compete at EvA45, EvA60 and EvA80 the rider must be an EA member (associate, Junior or full) OR they can be a member of the Host Club. The Host is the Club conducting the event. So if the student is thinking of going to more than 1 or 2 events she would be best to join EA. There is a discount at the moment as the membership will have to be renewed end June.
EA membership provides personal insurance also. Host Club membership doesn't give the rider any insurance, it only provides the club for liability.
