A while ago there was a thread about a relaxation of the rule regarding leaving the arena in a dressage test (instant elimination) if the arena is unfenced (since a lot of arenas are now). Is this just for eventing dressage or does it apply to all dressage tests? And is it in the rules or is it just that judges are being more lenient? Thanks.

It is a rule in the National Eventing Rule Book that you are not eliminated for leaving the arena if the arena is not enclosed.
